Go live without an encoder: broadcasting straight from Stream Repeater

The free Local Agent can now broadcast your Stream Games scene and a connected camera on its own — with a Talk button for your mic — so you can go live with no streaming software at all.

Streaming software is optional now

For most people, “going live” has always meant installing an encoder, wiring up scenes, and hoping the settings are right. It’s powerful, but it’s a lot — and it’s a wall a lot of would-be streamers never get over.

So we built a path that skips it entirely. The free Local Agent can render your Stream Games scene and pull in a connected camera, then push that straight to your channel — headless, with nothing else to install or configure.

It still has a host

A no-software broadcast doesn’t have to be silent. The agent’s Audio settings include a Talk button that puts your microphone on air live — press it to speak, press it again to step back — and the background music ducks under your voice automatically.

There’s an optional automated host voice too, for winner and gift call-outs, so an unattended games stream still feels alive.

Or bring your own

None of this replaces your encoder if you love it. Stream Repeater still takes one feed from OBS, a hardware encoder, or a phone and relays it everywhere. The agent broadcast is simply there for when you’d rather not run any of that.
