Bring your guests on air, live, by voice

Open a room on a channel and share a 6-character code. Guests join from any browser or the iPhone app, you decide who goes on air, and your browser turns the conversation into one show for every platform on the channel.

Guests need no account. Host from the web or the iPhone app.

Your show, mixed in your browser

Podcast is a mode of Browser Studio. The studio mixes every voice, draws a tile for each speaker and publishes one program to your channel, so nothing new runs on a server and every destination gets the same show.

Browser Studio in podcast mode: a live program with three speaker tiles and The Signal logo, next to the Camera, Screen and Podcast source picker
  • One tab, the whole room

Pick Podcast in Browser Studio, or tap Host a podcast in the iPhone app. Your room, your guests and your program sit on one screen.

  • See what viewers see

The program preview shows the tiles, names and your logo exactly as they go out, with a live connection badge for every guest.

  • Count down, then go

"Go live in 5 s" shows the countdown to your guests too, then starts the broadcast on every destination of the channel.

The "Your room is ready" card: a QR code, the join code, the link with copy and share buttons, and a ready-made invitation

Invite guests in seconds

Start a room now or book one for later. Each room gets a code, a link, a QR code and an invitation you can paste straight into an email or message.

  • Code, link and QRCopy the link or the code, or use your device's share sheet. The QR code is there for guests in the same room as you.
  • An invitation that explains itselfThe invitation tells guests how to join, to use headphones and that they will wait until you let them in.
  • Book aheadSchedule a room up to 90 days ahead. The code is reserved, and guests can get in from 30 minutes before the start.
  • Defaults per channelSet a title template, description, default PIN, guest limit, waiting-room message and look once. Every new room on the channel starts with them.

Joining takes a code and a name

Nothing to install and no account from a browser. Guests can also join from the Stream Repeater iPhone app.

  • Code or linkType the 6-character code on the join page, or open the link or QR code you were sent.
  • Name and photoPick the name the audience will see and add a photo, or show your initials instead.
  • Mic check firstA level meter, a verdict and "hear myself" before joining, with microphone and speaker pickers.
  • A clear heads-upGuests confirm they understand their voice, name and photo will be broadcast and may be recorded.
  • Waiting roomGuests wait, with your welcome message, until you let them in.
  • In the roomLive show clock, mute with M, raise a hand with H, chat with the host and see who is talking. Dropped connections reconnect by themselves.

You run the room

Everything a producer needs, on one panel. Muting and volume are applied in your mix and backstage is enforced by the server, so they change what the audience hears, not just a label.

Your brand on every frame

Upload your logos once to the workspace library and pick one per channel. The studio draws it onto the program, and your artwork and description greet guests on the join page.

A frame of the program, as published: 1920 × 1080
Podcast settings: program layout, background colour, logo choice, position, size and opacity sliders, artwork and a live preview
  • Workspace logo libraryPNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF or SVG. Mark one as primary and every channel can follow it.
  • Placed where you wantChoose the corner, the size and the opacity, with a live preview.
  • A join page that looks like your showSquare artwork, a description and a waiting-room message of your own.
  • Layout and colourSpotlight, grid or automatic, names on or off, and your background colour.

On a plan whose broadcasts carry the Stream Repeater mark, the mark keeps its corner and your logo moves to the other side.

Guests join at your own address

On plans with custom domains, point a subdomain such as pod.yourbrand.com at us. Room links switch to it as soon as it is verified, only that channel's rooms open there, and the certificate is issued for you.

Sounds like a studio, not a call

Voices travel as high-bitrate Opus and the program is published in full HD, so what reaches your platforms is worth listening to.

  • 1080p30Program video

    Published at 1920 × 1080, up to 6 Mb/s.

  • 128 kb/sEach voice

Mono Opus at 48 kHz with error correction.

  • 192 kb/sProgram sound

Stereo Opus from your browser to us.

  • 160 kb/sTo each platform

AAC at 48 kHz, the one re-encode.

  • Echo cancellation is always on; headphones give the cleanest sound
  • Noise suppression and automatic volume, or a raw studio microphone
  • Microphone and speaker pickers for host and guests

Only the people you let in

A room code is easy to share, so everything else is built to keep the wrong people off air.

  • Waiting roomNobody is heard until you let them in.
  • Optional PINSet one per room or as the channel default.
  • Bot checkCloudflare Turnstile on the join page, before any PIN is tried.
  • New code any timeThe old code stops working at once.
  • Consent before joiningGuests agree to be broadcast and maybe recorded.
  • Photos handled with careRe-encoded without metadata, private to the room, deleted 24 hours after it ends.

One show, every platform

A Podcast Room goes live on a normal channel, so it reaches every destination you have set up there and gets recorded if the channel is set to record.

Automate it

Podcast Rooms has the same API as the rest of Stream Repeater, so your own tools and your AI assistant can run rooms too.

REST API

Settings, custom domains, rooms, guests, chat and your brand library, documented in OpenAPI.

Creator £10/mo 3 guests No
Pro £15/mo 5 guests No

A room can be live for up to 4 hours. A code that is never used expires after 24 hours. Compare plans →

Questions

Do guests need an account?

No. Guests join from any browser with the code or link, a name and a photo or initials. Nothing to install. Only the host needs a Stream Repeater account.

Will there be echo?

Echo cancellation is on for everyone, so a guest on speakers usually works. For the cleanest sound, ask everyone to wear headphones.

Can I host or join from my iPhone?

Yes. In the Stream Repeater iPhone app, Go Live lets you host a podcast on a channel or join someone else’s. Keep the app open while you host: the video pauses if it goes to the background.

Can I run the show without being on it?

Yes. Switch on producing mode: you keep every control and the chat, but you have no tile and no microphone on the program.

Can I schedule a room?

Yes. Book a room for a date and time and send the invitation straight away. The code is reserved, and guests can get in shortly before the start.

Can guests join at my own domain?

Yes, on plans with custom domains. Add a subdomain such as pod.yourbrand.com, publish the two DNS records the settings page shows, and your room links switch to it once it is verified.

Which platforms can I stream to?

Any destination on the channel: YouTube, Twitch, Kick, TikTok, Facebook, custom RTMP and the rest. The show goes out like any other broadcast from that channel.

Is the show recorded?

The finished show is recorded the same way as any broadcast on the channel, when your plan includes cloud recording and it is on for that channel. Separate tracks per speaker are not recorded.

Can guests turn on their camera?

No. Guests join with their voice, and each one appears as their photo or initials with voice ripples.

How do I keep strangers out?

Nobody gets on air until you approve them. You can also set a PIN, change the code at any time, and remove anyone who is already in.

Can I control rooms from my own tools?

Yes. The REST API covers settings, rooms, guests and chat, webhooks tell you when rooms and guests come and go, and the MCP server lets an AI assistant do the same.
