Why does Facebook need RTMPS instead of RTMP?
Facebook requires secure RTMPS for live ingest. Stream Repeater relays to Facebook’s RTMPS endpoint for you, so you just add it as a destination with your stream key.
Does Facebook end my stream if my connection drops?
Facebook Live Producer can end a broadcast on a dropped connection rather than waiting to reconnect. Streaming to Stream Repeater’s stable relay — with supervision that restarts the Facebook outbound — makes that far less likely.
Can I stream to Facebook and YouTube together?
Yes. Add both as destinations in Stream Repeater and we duplicate your single feed to each server-side, with no extra upload from your machine.
