What AI Streams is
In development. AI Streams is not included on any plan you can buy yet, so you will not see it in your workspace. These articles describe how it works so you know what to expect. See the AI Streams page for its current status.
An AI stream is a channel that stays on air without a camera, an encoder or a person at the desk. You describe what it should show, and it keeps commissioning short video clips from an AI video service, joins them into one unbroken programme, and publishes that into one or more of your ordinary Stream Repeater channels. Those channels then relay it to YouTube, Twitch and your other destinations exactly as if you had gone live yourself.
How it fits together
- You bring your own video service. Clips are made with your account at a provider such as Luma, Kling, Runway, Google Veo, MiniMax or Pika. The provider bills you directly — see Adding a video provider and API key.
- You create a stream. Give it a description (the instruction), pick the provider, the shape and the clip length, tick the channels it should publish into, and set a spend limit if you want one.
- You press Start. Within a minute it goes on air. It keeps a small queue of clips ready ahead of what is playing, and asks for more as they are used up.
- You steer it while it runs. Write a running order of beats to tell a story, add schedule blocks for particular times of day, or push a topic in from your own system through the API.
What it is not
- It does not re-encode your channel: clips are prepared once, and the channel is relayed as normal.
- It does not react to chat or to what is on screen.
- It does not cap what your provider charges you — only you can do that, in your provider account. See Costs and spend limits.
- If a provider has a bad minute, the channel does not drop. It plays a plain standby picture until new clips arrive.
Where to find it
When your plan includes AI Streams, AI Streams appears in your workspace menu. If you open it on a plan without the feature, the page says so rather than showing an error.
