Writing prompts for reliable AI Streams
An AI Stream works best when its instruction is clear, visual and consistent. Think of the instruction as a creative brief for a sequence of short clips, not as a conversation with a chatbot.
A useful prompt pattern
Describe four things:
- Subject — what should be on screen.
- Action — what is happening in the shot.
- Style — the mood, colour, camera language and level of realism.
- Continuity — details that should remain consistent from clip to clip.
For example:
A cosy late-night radio studio in a rainy city, warm amber practical lights, slow cinematic camera movement, a host in a navy jacket speaking into a silver microphone, consistent set and character design across every clip, no on-screen text.
Keep instructions production-friendly
- Prefer one strong scene over a list of unrelated scenes.
- Say no on-screen text when you do not want invented titles or subtitles.
- Avoid real people, copyrighted characters and brand marks unless you have permission to use them.
- If you use Running order, put the changing subject in each beat and keep the shared visual style in the main instruction.
If a prompt is refused
The content check may skip an instruction that is unsafe, ambiguous or asks for restricted material. Rewrite the specific beat in neutral, original terms and remove real-person likenesses, graphic detail or instructions that could be interpreted as harmful. The rest of the running order can continue while you fix it.
