Fixing audio and video sync
Audio/video sync issues can be introduced by the source, the encoder or a destination. First decide where the offset appears: in the inbound preview, on the public watch page, or on only one platform.
If the inbound preview is already out of sync, check the camera and microphone timestamps, disable unnecessary capture buffering, and use a consistent sample rate. In OBS, inspect source sync offsets and confirm the audio device is not using a second monitoring path. Avoid changing several offsets at once; make one small change and test.
If only one destination is affected, keep the source unchanged and check that platform's ingest requirements. Record a short private test before a live event. A clean source preview makes it much easier to prove whether the issue is in the relay or at the destination.
